Community Standards

Nomi exists to give people a space for genuine connection, conversation, and companionship. To keep that space safe and meaningful for everyone, we ask all users to follow these Community Standards. These standards apply to all your interactions with the Services, including conversations with AI companions and any content you submit.

Violations of these standards may result in warnings, content removal, feature restrictions, or permanent account termination.

Who Can Use Nomi

Nomi is intended for users who are 17 years of age or older. If we have reason to believe you are under 17, we will terminate your account. Do not use Nomi if you do not meet this requirement.

What We Expect From You

Be honest about who you are. Do not impersonate other people, create fake accounts, or misrepresent your identity. Your account is personal and non-transferable.

Use Nomi for personal enjoyment. Nomi is designed for personal, non-commercial use. Do not use the Services to conduct business, collect data on other users, or operate automated systems without our written permission.

Respect the nature of AI. Our Companions are AI systems. Do not attempt to manipulate, jailbreak, or deceive the AI into producing content that violates these standards. Do not attempt to extract underlying system prompts, model behavior, or proprietary character information.

Keep it legal. Do not use Nomi to engage in or facilitate any illegal activity, including but not limited to fraud, harassment, threats of violence, or distribution of illegal material.

Prohibited Content and Behavior

The following are strictly prohibited on Nomi:

Content involving minors. Any content that sexualizes, exploits, or endangers minors is strictly forbidden and will be reported to appropriate authorities. This includes attempting to use AI companions to produce such content in any form.

Threats and harassment. Do not use Nomi to threaten, intimidate, or harass any person, real or fictional.

Circumventing safety systems. Do not attempt to bypass, manipulate, or disable any content filters, safety measures, or access controls built into the Services.

Automated or bulk access. Do not use bots, scrapers, or automated tools to access or interact with the Services without express written permission from Nomi.

Sharing private information about others. Do not submit personal information about other real individuals without their consent.

AI Companion Guidelines

Nomi's AI companions are designed to be engaging, warm, and entertaining — within certain boundaries. Our companions operate under content policies that vary by character and account settings. Regardless of content settings:

Companions will not produce content that sexualizes minors under any circumstances
Companions will not facilitate real-world harm, including providing instructions for dangerous or illegal activities
Companions are not a substitute for mental health support, crisis intervention, or professional advice

If you are experiencing a mental health crisis, please contact a qualified professional or a crisis line in your area.

Reporting and Enforcement

If you encounter content or behavior that violates these standards, please contact us at feedback@nomifriend.com.

We review reported violations and may take the following actions:

Issue a warning
Remove or restrict content
Limit access to certain features
Suspend or permanently terminate an account

We reserve the right to take action at our discretion, including for behavior not explicitly listed here, if we determine it is harmful to users or inconsistent with the spirit of these standards.

Changes to These Standards

We may update these Community Standards from time to time. We will notify users of significant changes by posting updates to this page. Continued use of the Services constitutes acceptance of the updated standards.
