Your Privacy Choices

At Nomi, we believe you should have meaningful control over your personal information. This page explains your privacy choices and how to exercise them.

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to opt out of the "sale" or "sharing" of your personal information for purposes of targeted advertising.

As described in our Privacy Policy, we may share certain information — such as device identifiers and usage activity — with third-party advertising and analytics partners through cookies and similar tracking technologies. Under some state privacy laws (including the California Consumer Privacy Act), this may be considered a "sale" or "sharing" of personal information.

To opt out:

In the Mobile App: Navigate to Settings → Privacy → Do Not Sell or Share My Data and toggle the setting off.
On the Web: Click the "Your Privacy Choices" link in the footer of any page on https://nomifriend.com to manage your preferences.
Global Privacy Control (GPC): If your browser or device transmits a GPC signal, we will honor it as an opt-out request in jurisdictions where required by law.

Please note that opting out of data sharing for advertising purposes will not stop all advertising — you may still see ads, but they will be less personalized.

Your Rights by State

California Residents (CCPA / CPRA)

California residents have the right to:

Know what personal information we have collected about you and how it is used and disclosed
Access specific pieces of personal information we hold about you
Delete personal information we have collected from you, subject to certain exceptions
Correct inaccurate personal information we hold about you
Opt out of the sale or sharing of your personal information for targeted advertising
Limit use of sensitive personal information

To submit a request, email privacy@nomifriend.com with the subject line "Privacy Law Request" and include your name and the email address associated with your account. We will verify your identity before processing your request. You may also designate an authorized agent to submit requests on your behalf.

We will not discriminate against you for exercising any of these rights.

Colorado, Connecticut, Oregon, Texas, and Virginia Residents

Residents of these states may have similar rights to access, correct, delete, and opt out of the processing of their personal information for targeted advertising. To exercise these rights, contact us at privacy@nomifriend.com with the subject "Privacy Law Request."

You have the right to appeal our decision if we deny your request. We will provide instructions for how to appeal in our response.

Push Notification Choices

Nomi may send you push notifications, including messages from AI companion characters. You can control push notifications at any time through your device settings:

iOS: Settings → Notifications → Nomi
Android: Settings → Apps → Nomi → Notifications

Turning off push notifications will also disable AI companion-initiated messages.

Email Communications

If you have opted into marketing emails, you may unsubscribe at any time by clicking the "Unsubscribe" link in any email we send, or by contacting us at privacy@nomifriend.com. Please note that you may continue to receive transactional or account-related emails even after unsubscribing from marketing communications.

Data Deletion

You may delete your account and associated personal data at any time through your app settings. To request deletion of your data without deleting your account, or if you encounter any issues, contact us at privacy@nomifriend.com.

Cookies and Tracking

You may manage cookie preferences through your browser settings or by using opt-out tools provided by the digital advertising industry:

Note that opting out through these tools does not delete cookies already placed on your device; it prevents future placement of targeted advertising cookies.
